It was clear for me from the onset that the existing App does not consider the wide range of users it was aimed for, instead it focuses on features. Therefore, my first step was to create a User Persona who is most likely a Medical Professional with minimal to little or no familiarity with Mobile technology interactions. Establishing this at a very early stage helped the client re-evaluate our priorities. Re-designing this product has given me invaluable experience in processes and collaborations within an agile environment. It’s also given me a greater appreciation for the importance of the need of clear and structural communication towards the client, to eliminate, add, rethink, and overall, achieve the desired ‘user experience’ every user will remember.
